The Mission: Solving the Founder Bottleneck
We are The Walk Agency — a strategic integrated marketing partner for B2B, Tech, and professional services — and we’re scaling fast. Our current challenge, the Founder Bottleneck, means our senior staff are spending too much time on tactical execution and not enough on strategic vision.
We need a Creative Doer. A versatile, practical individual who solves problems with their core creative superpower while bringing creative thinking and high standards to every step of the delivery process. This isn’t just a job; it’s a mission to transform our operational capacity and quality control.
Is this you? Your two sides
You are the quintessential hybrid: a creative specialist with the mindset of an all-rounder. It’s all about getting it done, efficiently and to a high standard.
1. Your creative superpower (must have)
You possess one exceptional core creative skill. You are either a wonderful wordsmith (Copywriter) or a design dynamo (Digital designer/visual storyteller). Being great at this specialty gives you the quality standard you’ll hold yourself and our agency accountable to.
2. Your technical versatility (must have)
In addition to your core creative skill, you’ll thrive on ensuring creative work is consistent, polished, and delivered efficiently across all kinds of channels and deliverables.
Your core responsibilities:
- Creative quality control: You’ll be the first line of defence, assessing creative work against established brand guidelines and basic quality standards before it hits the founder’s desk.
- Creative execution: Delivering high-quality work using your core skill (e.g., writing sharp content or producing beautiful design).
- Creative support: Helping out with a variety of tactical, day-to-day creative tasks, including:
- Building and testing emails in leading platforms like Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp or Marketo.
- Making content edits and building articles in common CMS platforms, like WordPress and Webflow.
- Preparing and optimising images using Adobe Photoshop.
- Creating and scheduling basic social media posts.
- Assisting others with these tasks by building processes and documenting
The combination of these two means you’ll be happy to roll up your sleeves and bring your energetic “can-do” attitude to the helping the agency’s full gamut of creative outputs be as great as they can be.
What you need to land this role (be bold)
We are looking for self-aware specialists, not generic applications. Do not send us a standard CV/cover letter.
If you have at least three years of agency or marketing experience, please address these three questions directly in your application:
- What is your core creative superpower? (e.g., “I am an exceptional B2B copywriter” or “I am a hyper-efficient digital designer”). Provide at least one piece of tangible evidence that proves your claim.
- Why should we choose you over an equally talented specialist? Clearly articulate which of the technical versatility tasks listed above you excel at, and how your presence will immediately free up founder bandwidth.
- What do you want from a career in a strategic marketing agency? We seek purposeful growth and continuous improvement. Outline your professional and personal goals so we can confirm our alignment.
N.B. Australian work rights must be held at the time of application.
